This convention was AMAZING! Everyone from the organizers to the attendees were open and friendly and supportive…..I could type nice things about this con for hours and not run out of good things to say!
Con on the Cob is all things to all people. It’s a gaming con, chock full of RPGs, board games, card games, party games, and all sorts of that kind of jazz. It’s also an art fair, with a large selection of talented artists in attendance and an amazing abundance of fantasty, science fiction, horror, and geeky art and art activities. Oh, and it’s The Mother of All Marketplaces, with over 50 vendors showcasing a wide variety of jazz, snazz, and zazz, boosting the geekonomy like old school Robin Hoods (but without the stealing and the giving stuff away for free (ok, not like Robin Hoods. I failed analogy class in Kindergarten). Don’t forget the parties…Did I mention the parties? There are parties. A LOT of them. Also there are other things, like our amazing special Guests, the Children of the Cob, the Comedy Music Extravagasm!, a super sweet Auction, a Games Library, free snacks in the Con Suite, Panels, Workshops, and Demos, a whole track of Cosplay and Fandom related activities, and a massive horde of potential friends and peeps who dig the same things you dig!
Indie-craft favorite, the Cleveland Bazaar, opens another holiday-themed pop-up shop with loads of indie makers in the 5th Street Arcades from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. that day.
Winterfest marks the official beginning of the holiday season in Cleveland, so, as you might expect, the event culminates in the lighting of the city's own Christmas tree on Public Square starting Recently moved from Playhouse Square to the more central (and renovated) Public Square, it's a scene out of a traditional European Christmas market: ice skating, a Christmas village, activities for kids, food and live music.
You better watch out, you better not pout...

Chrishanukwanzmadan is Oddmall’s holiday show celebration. Over a hundred vendors, live entertainment, Santas and elves and pirates and Hanukkah Armadillos and Krampus and all the other stuff you’ve come to associate with the winter holidays figuratively drips from the walls and ceilings like tinsel from the buns of a curiously gluttonous cat. Don’t picture that last part. I don’t know why I wrote it.
Since 2004, handmade artists from across Northeast Ohio (and beyond!) have gathered with us at 78th Street Studios to sell their amazing work during our holiday show. We got our start in this building, and it's still our largest holiday season event. Join us in Gordon Square and find one of a kind gifts for everyone on your list from both Bazaar makers and resident art studios!
As always, admission is free.
The Oddities & Curiosities Expo was established early 2017 and we are the first and Original Traveling Oddities event. We have expanded from 2 cities in 2017 to 8 cities in 2018 and now for 2019 we have 16 cities! We want to support local/national vendors, dealers and small businesses by giving them a place to sell and feel welcome. We have vendors on all spectrums of weird, creepy and unusual. Our goal is to bring like-minded people together and have events that people truly enjoy. https://odditiesandcuriositiesexpo.com/
I will be set up with my dear friends who own and run https://faescabinetfw.ecwid.com/
Emporium of the Weird is Oddmall’s largest and most established show. It features over 260 booths showcasing the works and wonders of an abundance of artists, crafters, entertainers, and purveyors of games, toys, comics, and all things geeky, awesome, amazing, amazingly amazing, and amazingly amazingly amazing. Live entertainment, costume contests, and a variety of interesting diversions fascinate even the most jaded of curmudgeons. Average attendance is 10,000-12,000 guests.
